About Maze

Navigate through increasingly complex mazes across 100 hand-crafted levels. Start from the green cell and find your way to the red cell. Each level gets bigger and more challenging as you progress.

How to play

Guide the blue player dot from the green start cell to the red end cell.

  • Keyboard: Use arrow keys or WASD to move through the maze corridors
  • Click/tap: Click or tap on an adjacent corridor cell to move there
  • Swipe: Swipe on touch devices to move in that direction
  • Breadcrumbs: A trail shows where you've been to help you avoid going in circles
  • Progress: Complete a level to unlock the next one. Your progress is automatically saved.

Game rules

  • Objective: Reach the red end cell from the green start cell
  • Movement: You can only move through open corridors, not through walls
  • Levels: 100 levels with increasing grid sizes from 5x5 to 20x20
  • Scoring: Your best score is the highest level you've completed
  • Timer: A timer tracks how long each level takes (for fun, not scored)

Tips and strategies

  • Follow walls: Pick a wall and follow it. This technique will always lead you to the exit eventually.
  • Watch breadcrumbs: The blue trail shows where you've been. If you see it, you're backtracking.
  • Dead ends: When you hit a dead end, retrace your steps and try a different path.
  • Plan ahead: On larger mazes, try to identify the general direction of the exit before moving.
